Why do categories and archive links suddenly don't work for me?

I have a problem regarding my blog https://fallingpixels.wordpress.com. Neither the Categories nor the Archive links work. In the first case a page appears with the information that no posts could be found for all categories. That can’t be the case because I categorize every post and it worked before without problems. In the second case I get a 404 Error page. I can’t figure out the problem. As I said it worked fine before and I am not sure if it has something to do with the theme (Portfolio). What’s the issue here? Thank you.

Just a follow up. I tried to access the categories from the Dashboard / Categories via “view”. It doesn’t work either. The posts which should be in the category and which are displayed within the dashboard correctly don’t show up. And the Archive doesn’t work at all as already mentioned..

Hi,
It looks like this is due to the way your theme is setup currently.
The Portfolio theme allows you to decide, per post, if that post is a “Portfolio” item or not. Additionally, it allows you to set if your want Portfolio Items to be displayed in tag/category/archive pages.
Checking a couple of posts, it appears they’re set to a Portfolio item and the theme is set not to display portfolio items on archive pages.
You can change that setting at https://fallingpixels.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=portfolio —the last option under “Display options”.
Alternatively, you can change if a post is considered a Portfolio item by unselecting the option on the right-side of the edit page (example: https://fallingpixels.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1623&action=edit , right-side under the Featured Image metabox).

Thank you. The guys from Theme Foundry from whom I bought the theme helped me out. The issue is resolved.
