Why do categories link to other blogs?

  Hi and thank you in advance for any help.

  On my blog posts, the categories (ex. Projects category) link to “Blogs about” said category. It shows other blogs that use that category. Is this how WordPress has organized categories to work?

  I remember in a previous design layout that I had, the categories would organize my posts, not link to others. If I clicked the category “Projects”, it would organize it so that my posts that were categorized as “Projects” would show.

  Any help on how I can get this feature back? It keeps the blog organized. Thanks again!

  The categories and tags links above, below or beside our posts depending on the theme all link to the WordPress.com global tag pages. The categories and tag links in the widgets link only,y to the content in our own blogs. There is one theme iNove that we can use that has theme specific options we can use to suppress categories and tags display.
