Why do currency exchange rates not apply and 79USD is 79€ instead of 57€?

  why does the currency change do not apply current exchange rates?

  I suppose WordPress should be sending me an invoice which I haven’t received yet.
  I’ll be expecting an answer, and most likely a rebate for this extra charge.

  The currency rates are not automatically calculated by using the official exchange rate, but manually defined taking into consideration several parameters: exchange rate, rounding requirements, local tax costs, etc. The fact that our EUR and USD prices are identical numbers is just a coincidence due to the exchange rate corresponding to the above parameters.

  These rates are not set in stone though, and we’ll do our best to optimize and reduce them wherever possible.

  @ekidiomas: a mí me pasó lo mismo con el tema que compré (Gridiculous Pro) y antes de completar todos los pasos de la compra me ponía el mismo número (69) con las distintas monedas, dólares o euros.

  Pero “obligué” a que la tienda de WP.com me lo vendiera en dólares, con lo que terminó costándome 51, 40 euros.

  Si es un fallo, es bastante extraño.
