Why do the email notifications of my posts show as from a different WordPress user?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

How many username accounts do you have?

Exactly which one registered the blog that has the posts you refer to above?

I have only 2 username accounts, but every email shows as coming from blogmate Malcolm Guite http://malcolmguite.wordpress.com/

I have checked all the settings I can think of but can’t work out how to remove his name. I see I have just received an email notification of a post from another wordpress blogmate http://thehumanpicture.wordpress.com – and that notification also shows as if it comes from Malcolm Guite.

    Help!

Have you tried changing that users role ? May be that could help. Know more about an user’s role here.

He doesn’t have a role on any of my blogs. He doesn’t subscribe to any of them. I subscribe to his – but then I do so for other people’s blogs too, like you do. I don’t get the same problem with their name coming up as the sender of email notifications.

Hello there, Could you tell me where this extraneous email address is showing up in your post notifications? And if this other user’s name displays as a link, what happens when you click on it?

If you could even take a screenshot of one of these notifications, it would help me troubleshoot the problem. If you need, here is a guide to making screenshots:

Just upload the image to your Media Library and let me know when there’s something I should take a look at.
    Thanks so much!

Thanks for this. His name comes up in my email account, not in my wordpress account. So I get an email notification that somebody has posted a comment on my site, or somebody else has put up a new post on their site – but they all come from Malcolm Guite.

I have now unfollowed his blog and I’ll see if that solves the problem. I’ll then re-follow his blog and see if the same situation occurs. If it does I’ll get in touch again.

Hi there. Thank you so much for the additional details. Please let me know how that testing goes.
