Why do google ads appear on my blog entries?

  When a post of mine is visited, for instance http://blog.scooletz.com/2011/05/23/nhibernate-entityawaremodelbinder-for-asp-mvc/ the google ads can be seen. I have not configured them and I wasn’t informed about this option. Can you explain what’s going on with these ads?

  To help support WordPress.com, and to keep free features free, we do sometimes run advertisements. We currently use Google AdSense and Skimlinks.

  We do offer the No Ads upgrade if you’d like to completely turn off advertisements.
