Why do I don't receive a confirmation mail? And can I use plugins after that?

    I don’t receive a confirmation mail for (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    btw is there an option in the premium upgrade to host a personal mail address as well?

    I’m planning on getting online soon (deleted my blog today) and I’d like to host wether a new domain or import my self-hosted one. But in the admin section I can’t find the option for plugins.. is it just for premium users? Or can I use it after confirming my mail address?

    Please check your email’s spam/junk folder and also check the Social tab if you use Gmail. If you can’t find it, there should be a link on your dashboard to resend it.

    You can connect a third-party email address to any custom domain. You don’t need the Premium plan for this, only a custom domain or domain mapping: https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/

    There is no option whatsoever to use plugins on WordPress.com. No upgrade will give you that ability. Plugins can only be used on self-hosted WordPress.org websites: http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

    Not entirely sure what you mean here. To blog on WordPress.com you must first register a free WordPress.com URL. Then you can buy a custom domain for it directly from the dashboard, or if you already own a domain you can connect it via the domain mapping upgrade. A custom domain/domain mapping is also included in the Premium and Business bundles.

    Thanks a lot for your help but unfortunately I already resent it for like five times and I still got no mail, my spam file is empty too. But I received a mail for deleting my blog – so this is very confusing.

  • As far as I know it’s not possible to delete a blog if you haven’t verified the email yet. Also, if you’ve deleted it, from where are you resending the verification link, as that appears on the blog dashboard?

    Hi there,

    The email address on your account is already confirmed. Do you mean you aren’t receiving a confirmation email to change your account’s email address to a different one? That confirmation email is sent to the new email address you want to use, rather than the current email address on your account.
