Why do I fail to change color?

  I cannot change color in the theme “Under the Influence”. In the preview the color changes all right, but the color of the real page remains the same.
  As far as I understand color changes in this theme are pay-free…

  Not in all themes. Have you checked out the stats for this particular theme? If so, where are you making the changes?

  The header text color changes all right, but the background color doesn’t…

  The bg color doesn’t change because you have loaded a bg image – this one:
  http://bulatovichclub.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/background1.jpg
  To apply a bg color you need to remove the image.

  Stats meaning the specifics for the blog. Not all themes are customizable.
