Why do I get a message that my domain name expired when it didn't?
-
I got a message that my domain name, mcdonoughink.com, expired yesterday, but it’s good until September 2015. I paid the $13 in September to renew it. Yet when I click on your link to the site, an error window opens saying there is a syntax error and some other things. I have 2 domain names, mcdonoughink.wordpress.com and mcdonoughink.com and today made the latter one the primary domain. Please help. Thanks, Molly McDonough

Hey there, Molly!
You are right that you renewed your upgrade with us. However, your domain upgrade is for Domain Mapping. This allows your custom domain (mcdonoughink.com) to work with your WordPress.com site, mcdonoughink.wordpress.com/.
Your actual domain is registered with enom.com, not with WordPress.com. Here are the public records for your domain:

If you want your domain to work properly with your WordPress.com site, it needs to have the correct name servers. Those adjustments must be made with your domain registrar. Here are the steps:
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much.
