Why do I get an internal service error every time I try to access my dashboard?

Recently my domain name lapsed and the site was down. However, I was still able to use the dashboard to edit the site. After I renewed the domain name the site came back up, but now I no longer can edit the site using the dashboard. I get this message: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, (email visible only to moderators and staff) and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. How can I get back to the dashboard again? I can get to the dashboard of another site, but this one has been blocked for some reason.
