Why do I have to open an extra window to edit my blog? Get rid of it, please.

Hello. I’d like to know whose idea it was to force WordPress users to open an extra window in Editor every time we edit something. I’d also like to know whose idea it was to get rid of Autosave. And whose idea it was to have the editing window close every time we manually save.
Whoever is responsible for these changes, what were you thinking? The Editor is now clunky and inefficient, and if things keep going the way they have been it will be unusable. Please fix these issues as soon as possible. I’m to the point where I’m either going to end my blog or port it to a new host.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for the feedback! This is actually an intentional change to how the Classic block works — it now opens in a modal window to ensure compatibility with the modern block editor.
A few options that might help:
- Expand the modal using the expand button for a larger editing area
- Convert to blocks — select your Classic block and choose “Convert to blocks” for a smoother inline editing experience
- Classic Editor edit option – when viewing your Posts, hover over the post you want to edit, and you should see a “Classic Editor” option to edit using the Classic Editor directly
