Why do I have to pay for a plan before I know if WordPress will work for me?
-
I JUST started working on a design to see if WordPress will give me the options I need. I’ve opened a page and made two selections. It says now that I need to Upgrade Now or Remove Premium Styles. I don’t even know yet if this will have the options I need?? Most design sites allow you to design, then pay when you launch your site. Is there a way to do that?
WP.com: Yes

Hi,
Styles is a feature available on sites with our WordPress.com Explorer, Creator, and Entrepreneur plans.
While we don’t have the option to pay when launching your site, we have a 14-day refund window for annual plans and a 7-day refund window for monthly plans. This way, you can try all the features of any of our paid plans and then request a refund if you are not satisfied.
Here you have more info about this:
WordPress.com is happy to issue refunds for purchases within our refund timeframes. You can cancel most purchases directly from Upgrades → Purchases in your WordPress.com dashboard. How to Get a Refund To refund a purchase: Click on your profile at https://wordpress.com/me. On the left side, select the Purchases menu option: Select the purchase you wish to cancel and refundHope this helps. If you need further assistance with this, don’t hesitate to let us know!
