WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TO CHANGE MY FONT? THIS IS CLEARLY A SCAM!

Why wasn’t this paying for a font thing included when i was purchasing the domain? Because clearly if i knew i had to pay to change my font i would of never bought the domain! What sense is it to buy a site when you can’t even change the colors of the letters people are reading?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For most people the free fonts you get with the free themes are quite adequate. What exactly did you have in mind?

I believe, if you bought your domain from WordPress then you can apply for the refund but I am not sure how you go about this. I like to have my own domain for life so the question of a refund does not arise.

    Good luck.

The upgrades here apply specifically to exactly what they say and no more. You can change your font for free, paragraph by paragraph, just by coding it in the HTML editor. You can change the color just by using the Advanced Menu in the visual editor.

If you want to change the fonts universally in your blog, what you want is the Custom Design upgrade.

    YOU HEAR ME IN THERE!

    …………………….I’ll get the upgrade then.

WAIT…you have to know how to do CSS code in order to use it. DO you?

…using the HTML editor to change your fonts is easy and costs nada. Using CSS ‘custom design’ is hard and expensive. What fonts do you want to use?

    Hi there,
These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.

    (1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/

    (2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2

    (3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

Note: A few themes do provide for changing font color in the Blog Title and/or optional Tagline and/or links. In the majority of themes font changes to font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, menu, post titles, page titles, categories and tags, widget headings, comments, and links cannot be done without CSS editing.

The problem with changing it paragraph by paragraph is, if you change themes, the code stays the same, and the old font might look horrible in the new theme, or even be the same colour as the background. Then EVERY paragraph in the blog has to be hand-edited.

Does Typekit work only with the upgrade? From reading another post, I thought it would work without it.
How does one change the font for the blog title and tagline (using HTML? only with the upgrade?)
