I’m not seeing that message when I visit your site. Are you still seeing it? If so, where on your site are you seeing it? Is it in your administration “dashboard” area? Is is when you visit the site itself?
Interesting looking putters. How is the feedback on them?
-
The message is by the publish button, a red line and a warning to refresh the connection before publishing. All post have been published on Linked-In so it does not seem to be a problem. I must say that I am surprised that the people at word press can not answer this question, after all it is them that put the message there in the first place.
Thanks for asking about the putter, the feedback is good, so far we have received no negative comments. -
That is odd. Glad to hear it is working though. Perhaps there was a connection issue on the LinkedIn side.
The next time you see it, can you grab a screenshot?
Here are some screenshot instructions if you are not familiar with the process:
I find http://snag.gy/ to be very useful for sharing screenshots. You can also upload the screenshot to your site’s media library. I will be able to see it there.
-
Have used the snipping tool and have put the Capture in the media library.
As you will see, I now get two messages, one for Linked-In and the other for Tumblr. -
When you go to this page, what publicize services do you see connected:
https://whitedragongolf.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=sharing
-
Facebook, Linked-In, Tumblr.
the message has now changed to
before you publish please refresh the following connections to make sure we can publicize your post.
It does not now mention any particular connection.
If I go to Edit settings it advises that the connection to Linked-In may not be working correctly. So I hit the refresh connection with Linked-In button. But the message keeps coming back. -
-
Yes they appear to, but that means I have to go check everytime I publish a post. What would I have to do if it did not appear.
-
Well, you should check no matter what. Computers and servers being what they are, there are a number of different reasons why something might not go through.
As I am not hearing any other reports of this issue and the posts are going through correctly, I am thinking that this is a connection dropping issue on linkedins end that is causing the message.
