why do i need to go premium for a background when I have changed the background before for free?

  I wanted to change my background, but it says I need to go premium, when I have already added a background tile image for free previously. I picked this theme because I could add a background for free, please can you explain/help?

  Hi Sarah,

  You don’t need to upgrade to Premium to change your site’s background. However, right now you are previewing the Custom Design features on your site — you will need to exit that preview before you can save changes to your site’s background color.

  Please follow these steps to make that change:

  1. Open your site’s Customizer
  2. Open the section called “Colors & Backgrounds”
  3. At the top of that section, look for the text “This feature is a part of the Premium Plan. Purchase to make it live or exit the preview.”
  4. Click on “exit the preview” to exit the Custom Design preview.
  5. Open the “Colors & Backgrounds” section again and set your custom background for your site, and open the “Header Image” section and set your custom header image.
  6. Click “Save & Publish” at the top of the customizer.
