Why do I receive an error message?
-
Why do I receive error messages saying “reached maximum number of log-ins”? I am trying to set up 3 classes of 27 students with WordPress blogs. My first group of 27 logs in without any trouble. In my second group, several receive this error message, and none of my third group can log in at all. Am I limited to only having 40 or 50 accounts active from the same server within a one hour time period?

Hmmm… and how do I get around that. I have about 85 different users in a 2 hour time span. 25-28 at a time, each for 40 minutes.

I don’t have any advice and that’s why I flagged this thread for a Staff response. Frankly I can see them providing the information about how this is set up to you here. This is a public forum. All threads are indexed by Google and other search engines. Everyone on the internet including the legions of spammers can read what’s posted here.

It’s definitely an anti-spam feature, one of things that keeps WordPress.com from becoming a festering haven from spam/junk blogs.
It should be okay if the previous class logs out first.
Also, make sure that they each have their own accounts and aren’t attempting to log in under the same account.
