Why do I receive the HTTP error notification when trying to upload an image?

I have for the past two days been receiving the HTTP error notification when trying to upload an image. The image size and type are within range, and the image source is trusted, I have checked that. What could possibly be the reason for this, and how can I solve this, please.

Hi there. I encountered a few people having this problem before. In those cases it turned out to be a browser issue.
Please make sure you are using one of the browsers and versions listed here: http://browsehappy.com/
Additionally, try clearing your browser cache and cookies and make sure you have third-party cookies enabled. You can also check whether you have the same problem on a different browser.
