Why do most of the invited viewers not receive the invitation?

I keep sending invitations to our private blog, and 2/3 of the viewers I invited, did not receive anything. I have been sending them again and again, warning people so that they are careful when receiving it, but it does not work.
Is it because you would prefer us to go public, that you somehow make it very hard for us to invite privately peoplee?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ask the people you invited to check their spam folders for the invitation emails. Also ask those who use Gmail to check the Social tab in their inboxes as WordPress emails often get redirected there.
Also keep in mind that to accept an invitation to be a viewer on a private blog a person has to register a WordPress.com account. This is for security reasons to help protect the privacy of your blog.
