Why do my duotone images in my post revert to color when shared on Facebook?
-
Applying duotone works great on my post, but reverts back to color when shared over Facebook or when embedded in my Web site. Can I make all images duotone by default? Any help is appreciated.

Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching out!

Duotone wouldn’t necessarily apply when sharing to Facebook because Facebook would only pick up the image itself, and the file that’s been uploaded. It wouldn’t take on the functionality of the site.
when embedded in my Web site
When you mentioning embedding on the site, what are you referring to exactly? Is this when you’re embedding a Facebook post into a page or post?
Many thanks.

That is too bad – thank you for responding.
I have an established Web site on GoDaddy. I created the blog here and highlight it on my web site.

Thanks for clarifying! I suspect that your case on your site might be the same as when sharing to Facebook – the duotone filter is applied and therefore detected here; but not detected by your GoDaddy site.

If you would like to keep the duotone effect of your images on FB, the only solution is to ad a duotone effect to the image yourself by using e.g. The Gimp instead of adding a duotone effect using the css of the site.
