Why do my Gravatar image not change?
-
I have had this problem for about a year but just decided to do something about it. My Gravatar image will not change (on Facebook shares, etc.) even though I have uploaded a new one. Here are some screenshots that can better describe the problem:

I think you might be confusing your Gravatar and your blavatar.
The Gravatar is the image which appears on your Personal Profile page in the dashboard, next to your username here in the forum and when you comment, and appears on the right of your username in the admin bar. It currently shows a man with a red tie. It’s the image that represents you as a person.
The other image is your blavatar, that is blog avatar, and is the favicon for your blog, i.e. it’s the image that represents your blog, which appears in the browser address bar, next to the blog title in the admin bar, and is included in shares on social media if you don’t have any other images in the post. That image can be changed under Settings ->General in your dashboard. Note that after uploading a new image it might take a few days to appear and the WordPress cache needs to update first.
See here for the difference: http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/
After uploading the new blavatar the old one might still appear on Facebook shares as it will still be in the facebook cache. You can try to flush your facebook cache by inserting your blog URL here: http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

You’re welcome. After you upload a new image, please wait for the cache to update – don’t just keep uploading if you don’t see it change immediately. Also make sure the image is big enough. You can also find more information here: http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/24/gravatar-avatar-blavatar/
