Why do my links on other blogs show up with red x's next to them?

  Hi There! When I link my posts to other blog sites, specifically crafting type sites where I can showcase my work, every single one of my links shows up on other sites with a little red x next to my name. This is happening on Tim Holtz’s monthly tag challenge blog & Artistic Outpost’s monthly challenge blog. I don’t know what I’m doing incorrectly when I’m linking my posts. Help!

  Hi there,

  I’m having some trouble finding the red x’s you mentioned. Can you give me the link to one or two pages where you are seeing this? I’d be happy to take a look!

  Good Morning Rachel!
  Well, maybe it’s just what I see from my computer-that I actually do the posting from? I’ve posted a July Challenge tag on Tim Holtz’s blog (I’m #69 in the 12 Tags of 2013 for July)–And I have several samples posted on Artistic Outpost’s blog under their Monthly Referral program.
  I just looked at these sites from my husband’s computer and iPad and the red x’s aren’t there. But when I look at these sites from my computer–the red x’s are there. Is it because my computer is the “admin” computer for doing all the posting?
  I was just concerned that other people would be able to delete my posts if that little red x is something that the public sees?

  Hi there,

  I was able to find one of the pages you mentioned here: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2013-july/

  Because that blog isn’t hosted here at WordPress.com, I can’t be entirely sure of the system it uses for adding links. However, it sounds like the red x you see is to delete the link to your site. Is that right? In that case, it is just because you are the one who posted it — other site visitors (such as me) can’t see that red x.
