Why do my pages delete themselves when I add a static front page?

    I want to add a static homepage to my website. I designed a whole page, but when I went to Settings > Reading and changed the static page to the one I designed, the page I designed had deleted itself and nothing has changed on my home page.

    I tried it again with another page to make sure I had not accidentally deleted it myself, but it automatically happens whenever I set a page as the static front page.

    I am running the theme Pinnacle. I would like to get back the deleted page and make it my home page, but have no idea how to.

    What was the title of your front page? Or rather, the page you want to be your front page?
