Why do my usernames/passwords no longer let me into my new domain anymore?

Help! I can’t access my new domain. I’ve been creating and editing it with no trouble for 2 weeks, and now none of my user names or passwords work. All I get is the old blog and starter attempts that I can’t figure out how to erase. My two user names are (email visible only to moderators and staff) and postkatrinastella, maybe Laura Stella Sitges, and the domain I just started is DIY Found-Art for the Sentimental Packrat. 1) How do I find it again, and 2) how do I erase the ones no longer valid? I can access the domain like an outside reader, but can’t log in to it. Making new passwords only gets me the old blogs.
    Thanks – Laura Stella Sitges

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Laura,

    I see that you have a blog titled “DIY Found-Art . . . for the non-artist” here: http://diyfoundart.wordpress.com/

Is that the blog you’re trying to access or is there a different one? If the one you need to access is different, can you send me a link to the blog? That will help me figure out what’s going on here.

To access the one I mentioned, please make sure you’re logged in to your WordPress.com account and then you can visit your dashboard here: https://diyfoundart.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

Please let me know if I can provide any further help with this. :)

Thanks, Rachel – DIY…non-artist is the old blog on wordpress. DIY…sentimental packrat is the new domain I just created, where I’m trying to transfer the old posts to, http://postkatrinastella.com, on Bluehost.
Where it’s at now is, I sometimes get in, either one or the other, but more often than not I get that shaking black username/password box shaking me off when I know I put it in right.
Another subject – Can you tell me what the exact name of the theme feature is that extends the side margins of the page (content, header and all) to full-screen width? I now have to start all over with a new theme because Prose’s margins won’t stretch to eliminate all that side wasted space, and can’t test the pay themes as easily as WordPress lets you test the free themes. Most full-width features mean just the background and header. I need a full page’s writing space like WordPress’ Andrea gave me, but with more navigation options like Genesis/Prose. Finding very few answers from others on this and not sure why. Is there a way to make Andrea function more like Prose while keeping the old look and full screen page? Maybe by subscribing to a pay format, premium or something? Wish I could know before I actually subscribe, as I am now coming up on the end of the 30-day return period for Genesis/Prose.
    Thanks so so much Rachel.
    Laura

    Hi Laura,

When you have a WordPress blog on a different host (other than WordPress.com), your login information for that site will be different from your WordPress.com login. That’s because WordPress.com is separate from the WordPress.org software used on other website hosts. You can learn more about there differences here: WordPress.com and WordPress.org

If you’ve forgotten the password for your self-hosted WordPress site, you can go here to reset it:

    http://postkatrinastella.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

There’s also a WordPress.org support document for resetting your password on your self-hosted WordPress site here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

The support staff here at WordPress.com only has access to blogs that are hosted here at WordPress.com, so if you need additional help regaining access to your self-hosted WordPress site I’d recommend contacting Bluehost or asking for further help in the WordPress.org forums here: http://wordpress.org/support/

You can also get help in those support forums with your theme on your self-hosted site. There’s a lot of information in the theme support forum here: http://wordpress.org/support/forum/themes-and-templates

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
