Why do none of my pages have the box that lets me disallow comments on a page?
-
I am not able to turn off comments on a page because I do not get the boxes to check or uncheck at the bottom left of the page in edit mode. I know exactly what it’s supposed to look like, but it does not exist on any of my pages.

re: http://inotherwordsgroup.com/
We provide support only for sites hosted by WordPress.COM and that site is not one of them.WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page -
I’m not asking about that site. I’m asking about another site. But that was the only email address it would accept.

Okay. Will you please provide the URL for the blog in question in the form of an active link starting with http:// in this thread?

That’s not so and raincoaster and I know that because we have both WordPress.COM hosted blogs and WordPress.ORG installs.
Bottom line: No URL – no help.
We cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now or experience no further answers here. -

I can’t. It’s a site I’m doing for an online class, it’s not published to the web.
We do not provide support for local installs of WordPress.ORG software and cannot help you.
