Why do pages keep getting cut off?
-
I am having issues with my pages geting cut off.
https://scottandrewhutchins.wordpress.com/my-book-collection/This page recently cut off everything aftetr “James and Karla Murray. Store Front” and I had to go into my revision history to restore all text below it.
Worse still is this one. I have to do the whole thinkg in a word processor document and copy and paste it every time.

Every time I edit this page, this is all that’s left, so I have to go to the document, do Ctrl A, and replace it with the complete text.:Last updated November 19, 2025.
A list of all films I own on DVD (default or [d] if I have more than one format), VHS ([v]), VCD ([c]), Blu-Ray ([b]), and Super 8 ([8]). “No box” means “no custom box,” not that I store it without a box. DVD/Blu-Ray are assumed to be in the correct aspect ratio unless otherwise stated. Widescreen films are assumed to be presented in standard format (open matte or cropped) on VHS unless stated otherwise. Films not in English are to be assumed to include their original language with English subtitles (optional or burned-in) unless stated otherwise. Asterisks indicate films I have not yet seen (at all, not whether I have watched my copy). The main reasons for buying a film I haven’t seen include interest in filmmaker, inclusion in a package (this does not mean that I do not intend to watch), scarcity/obscurity, or price too good to pass up. Titles are listed alphabetically by title, followed by director(s) and year. Not every title found in a set is cross-referenced, but many are.

Hello there,
considering how long the page is, I feel that simply the system is taking a few extra seconds to process it and it might be missing some parts or ran into an error.
Considering the type of content on the page, I would recommend keeping your list in a separate Google Sheet or PDF file.
It would be much easier to manage that type of content on a Google Sheet or Excel file. On the page, you can upload the file in your Media (Excel) or simply link to a public Google Sheet.
This would also allow your readers to filter the list or easily search in it.
-
It consistently runs into that error, and the fact that it can’t load past a single-screen worth of data for that page in particular suggests a severe bug.
-
I can see where you’re coming from, and it is understandable why you would feel that way.
We looked into the page loading issue, and the behavior is consistent with pages that are unusually long or contain very large blocks of text.
As we suggested earlier:
– To avoid loading errors, moving that long list into a Google Sheet, Excel file, or PDF can help ensure the content loads reliably.
– Once uploaded or linked, your visitors can easily view, search, or filter the list, and it keeps your page running smoothly.
