Why do people have to have an account to like a post?

  Nobody can like a post unless they sign up to wordpress. This is a bit silly. How can I fix this please? This is why I am not getting many likes on it. I’m very disappointed. PLease help.x

  That is a WordPress.com-specific “Like” button. Users will have to be signed in to WordPress.com to use it (similar to how you would need to be logged into Facebook to use a Facebook “Like” button).

  If you would like to use a Facebook “Like” button on your posts, you can change the style of your sharing icons here:

  Changing to the “Official Buttons” will switch the Facebook icon as shown here:
