Why do people need to log in to like or comment on my blog posts?
-
I have started posting on my blog. But the people who visit my blog are unable to comment or like or follow my posts unless they have a WordPress account. This is turning out to be a hindrance to publicize by blog. Kindly let me know if there is a way to change the settings so that people do not have to log in for doing any of the above mentioned activities on my blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Comments
It sounds like you have a setting enabled that requires people to login to WordPress.com in order to leave a comment. You can change this in your discussion settings: https://wordpress.com/settings/discussion/themordernsage.wordpress.com.Look for the Other comment settings section and untick the option that says:
Users must be registered and logged in to comment

The Like button with the star icon is for people with a WordPress.com account. This is why the login prompt is appearing. If you do not want to keep it I can tell you how to remove it.Following
People without a WordPress.com account can click the Follow button that appears in the bottom right-hand corner of your site. After clicking on the Follow button, a dialog box will pop up asking for the email address where new blog posts should be sent. There is more information about following blogs here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/following/Hope that answers your questions!

Thanks, I understand the rules now.
Is there any option for people who are not having a WordPress account to like my posts?
Can I earn through these blogs?

People can share your posts using the social media buttons at the bottom of your posts — but there are no ‘like’ buttons for social media services on WordPress.com.

re: like button use
Just like any other place with a like button, for example, Facebook, one has to register a username account and be logged in to be able to use it. All that’s required to register a WordPress.COM account is a valid email address. And many of us do not choose to activate like buttons on our sites. https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/If you assume that like button clicks are an accurate and true reflection of engagement with your content then you are not aware of how many like button spammers there are. They click the like buttons on other sites for traffic driving purposes ie. simply so visitors will click their gravatars and visit their sites.
Bottom line: The value of a like button click in no way compares to the value of a thoughtful comment.
