Why do photographs 'disappear' from a newly uploaded post?

If I include a photograph in my post and then upload the piece, all is fine. But, If, as I occasionally do, print out hard copies of my recent posts, the printouts are all fine, but that day’s photograph is then missing from the online post. Other photographs in earlier posts are all still there, but only the newly uploaded one has gone. The ‘box’ and caption are still there, but the picture itself is missing.
What I then do, is ‘edit’ the post. On going back to the ‘composing’ page, I find that the picture is actually still present, (but is absent when I ‘update’ back to the public page) I then have to delete the picture, and then reload it. All is as normal from then on, and the picture is back on the public post. This is a phenomenon that has only occurred over the last month or so…

After publishing a post, sometimes your pictures disappear? Can you let me know how you’re inserting images into your posts?

Would it be possible for you to send me a link to an example post where you recently came across this problem?
