Why do photos get out of order when i add a caption?

    Hello everyone, i have recently added a post which contains about 50 images. I don’t want them all to be captioned and picked a random one towards the end of the post and added a caption to it. When i viewed the updated post, this captioned photo had automatically gone to the top of the screen, before all of the others. I wanted to keep it in its place and am confused as to why this is happening. Any help would be much appreciated. :)
