Why do posts that were published randomly disappear?
-
Posts are published, and they correctly appear on the blog. Yet, sometimes a few hours or a few days later, the post will disappear. I cannot figure out why this is happening or how to correct it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This has happened to two different students who blog in my class. There doesn’t seem to be a pattern; although both said the posts disappear from their dashboard as well. One student said two older “test” posts disappeared and then reappeared; not really sure what is causing it

Could you please send the links of the posts you are referring to? and what’s missing exactly?
Otherwise please try clearing out your cache and cookies using the guide below:

I’ve had the same experience. I was going to use a portion of an old post, and when I went to find it, it was gone.
Luckily, I linked to it in a comment. Here’s the URL.

I’ve combed my files, done all the usual with cookies, cache & etc. I’m running current Firefox with no add-ons.

@shoreacres In your case that post was trashed two months ago. Items within your trash folders can be restored or permanently deleted within 30 days of their original trashing. After 30 days they will be automatically removed.

Oh, my gosh. I never meant to trash it – apparently that was all my error. And I didn’t know that they would be automatically removed. That’s good to know. Thanks.

So far, the students that were having this problem seem to have it resolved. Their last two posts have not disappeared. Thanks for all the feedback!
