Why do the links in the copy of my posts look like regular text?
-
The text links work but you can barely see the difference between the highlighted phrases that include the links and regular text. For instance, in the first line of the posting below, “massive economic losses” is a link but it’s barely discernible from the rest of the text.
Thanks very much.

Hi there. This is determined by your theme and each theme displays links differently.
Some themes allow you to change the link colour. If your theme has that option you should find it under Appearance ->Theme options in the classic dashboard.
If your theme doesn’t have the option you’ll need to buy the custom design upgrade to enable you to change the link colours globally on your blog. See here for more info on the custom design upgrade:

Keep in mind that with the following suggestions you’ll have to make this change for every single link manually and if you ever change themes your changes might conflict with the new theme’s settings, which will necessitate you to change each one manually again.
The simplest option is to underline your link anchor text so it stands out from the main text. This one should not cause problems with theme changes.
Another option is to change the text colour for each link using inline CSS. Instructions to do that here: https://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/07/11/formatting-text-pt-5/ Note that links isn’t an official WP.com support doc, but a workaround figured out by another user. Changing the colour in this way means the links won’t change colour on their own should you switch to another theme.

Thank you, sir. I can’t find the Appearance –> Themes option in the classic dashboard for the option to even see if I can mod the link appearance in our theme. It appears the fastest, least expensive work-around is to manually bold and underline the links so I will do that.
I do appreciate your help! -
If you don’t see Theme options then your theme doesn’t have them. Manually it is then. Glad I could help :)
