Why do the Statistics ignore iPad video views.

why do the statistics not reflect video views from an iPad? I tested it out with my wife’s iPad. Despite clicking on a video, the count does not increase.

I don’t have an answer for that. Here’s the link for the iOs forum for the WordPress app so you can post there and make our WordPress developers aware of your iPhone and/or iPad issue. http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to to those forums.

Hi Jack,
I don’t think it’s intentional that video views on an iPad aren’t logged in stats, but the stats don’t update in real time so it can be difficult to test individually.
Looking at your site stats for April 17 when you posted here, I do see one video play for the video at this link:
Is this the video you tested on the iPad?

It may be; I’ve noticed it happens often since my wife is on an iPad.
Since you’re saying that stats don’t update in real time, it’s tricky to know what’s happening, but I can verify that at least within a day, there’s no recording of the iPad clicks on video. I don’t know whether the other stats are being ignored as well.
