Why do widgets display in a sidebar that I did not select?
-
I just changed templates from Oxygen to Suburbia. In the secondary sidebar that shows in a single page/post view, “Information,” “Shortlink” and “Navigation” display before the actual widgets that I selected and added. I cannot figure out how to delete the other three. How do I locate and get rid of these options as they aren’t in the “Sidebar” widget area in my dashboard?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It is not widgets that you are referring to. That post metadata on the Suburbia theme is designed the theme.
See here in the post example in the live demo site http://suburbiademo.wordpress.com/2011/07/07/phasellus-sit-amet-libero-sed/

If you purchase a custom design upgrade you can remove the metadata as described here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cant-remove-default-images-imbalance-theme?replies=6#post-866409

Thank you SO much for taking the time to look into this and give me so much information. I am still in the learning stages of anything related to web design and terminology. I think that the custom upgrade is what I need for a lot of the things that I want to do, especially removing the meta data. Again, thank you for your time and help! It is very much appreciated.
