    When a third-party app like WordPress.com seeks to connect to Facebook, in order to post on your wall the API requires you grant certain permission. In this case, if you wish to use our Publicize feature to automatically post your blog to your Facebook wall or page, this is a required step. This is common for all websites that you connect to your Facebook profile.

    We do not mine your Facebook contacts for data or anything else intrusive. However, if you do not wish to grant permission to the API, you are not required to do so, but you will not be able to use Publicize.

    You can always post to Facebook directly using your post’s permalink.
