why does a blog post for a specific category show on homepage also?

    I’m frustrated that I have created categories post different types of posts……yet they are all combined on my homepage in addition to their respective categories. Redundant and dumb. Is there a setting I’m missing? Do I create a separate page? Need guidance, please.
