Why does a character display a different colour in editor versus the post?
-
At the bottom of this post – http://musiccanada.wordpress.com/2014/11/05/canadian-hot-100-5-november-2014/ – I have three maple leaf characters. In the editor, I coloured them differently – red, magenta, and blue, and they display those colours in the editor. However, in the published post, they all display as red. This is true for IE9, Firefox, and Gooogle Chrome. I cleared all cookies, etc. and the problem persists. Can this glitch be fixed?

Hi there,
It looks like you are trying to use are trying to change the color of an emoji by using a font coloration. While this may work on some browsers, it is not something which is universally supported or recommended at this point.
Instead I would recommend you find a small icon of a maple leaf in the colors which you prefer and embed them. The images may take a fraction of a second longer to load but they will ensure backwards compatibility.
