Why does a random photo appear as featured pic?
-
When my blogs are automatically posted to facebook a random photo accompanies them as the featured picture, different from the one I have included – not even one of my photos! It seems mostly to happen when they are posted second-hand from Twitter; is this a Twitter problem? Thanks very much

Hi there Lois,
Once a post or page has been shared on Facebook, the images have been stored in a cache on their server for future shares. Facebook doesn’t look at the page again for new images until their cache expires. This time period is unpredictable, but can be days or weeks. You can force Facebook to update its cache for your post/page by entering the link to the specific blog post you’re sharing into their Debug tool on this page:
http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
After pasting your link into the blank on that page, click the “Debug” button. Then try sharing your post/page on Facebook again.
I cannot tell you why the Twitter → Facebook publishing is experiencing the same type trouble, but perhaps you can look at Twitter’s support page for some answers.
Give the debug a try and let me know how that works for you! Thanks so much!
