I started a blog, and didn’t think I’d chosen a very good address for it, so I deleted it and started a new one with the same title, but a different address. When I google it (Dog Blog – A Canine Compendium), the first, deleted blog shows up, but not the new one that I want to use.
Thanks for any advise you can give me.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well, the advice is: wait.
It takes google up to seven weeks to index new blogs, and new URLs are new blogs as far as Google is concerned. How long it takes the new one to surpass the old one in search engine rankings depends how long the old one was around, how many incoming links it has acquired, and how much SEO work you do on your new blog, including attracting incoming links. If you had not deleted the other blog, you could buy the redirect upgrade and then everyone going there would have ended up at your new blog.

I googled “Riley is king of the mountain” (with the speech marks – looking for the whole phrase) and you turned up on first place!
I put your address ‘caninecompendium.wordpress.com’ in the search field on google, and your site did show up. So google know you. It will take a little bit longer for google to index all your pages (or any new ones)
It’s also good time to check over your site again and find any typos.
PS. Riley looks like a great dog to go hiking with.
