Why does ‘Attempt Block Recovery’ happen a lot randomly when editing?

    Hey there @cpanay1, no news on that one yet. Sometimes this type of thing will get picked up when someone’s working on similar issues.

    Can you tell whether this one’s still related to font changes? We have an issue filed on that with the workaround noted, but if this is something else, we’ll want to figure it out.

    Sorry for not specifying.
    This was again related to a paragraph block with Overpass font already applied from weeks ago. It just seemed to ‘bug/glitch out’ from “ctrl+z”‘ing.
    It was just on one of my projects but of course it doesnt show when I go on it again.

    This issues sounds like it could be related since it affects fonts with custom blocks, so in this instance I think it’s appropriate to revive this thread, so we’re happy to take a closer look.

    I may not have understood you here, can you walk us through what edits you are making to result in this error? We’d like to be sure that we can retrace your steps as precisely as possible and confirm we get the same error. Are you editing an existing block to make change to it? I.E. it’s a block that’s been working fine for some time but in the act of editing it you cause the error? Does it happen only when you “ctrl+z” or when performing other edits too?

    Also, is your goal to set all text on the site to use the Overpass theme? If so there is a central font setting you can use to make that change for your entire site, instead of setting the font block-by-block as you are now. If this is the case let us know and we can show how it’s done, thanks!

    It’s exactly as I explained but sounds weird I know.
    I was editing one of my pages/projects embedded vimeo, and all I did was go back a few steps “ctrl+z”. Then some paragraph blocks showed said ‘block recovery issue’.
    It has been fine for weeks, then when I performed the above steps, it randomly happened.

    Basically, my site is finished. I will no longer be touching it, except maybe the odd edit here and there + fixing home page/mobile layout.

    But yes my whole page currently has Overpass font.
    Currently under ‘Styles>Typography>Text’, it is set to Overpass.

    I only brought this thread up as it happened again.
    It’s rather frustrating so I presume/wonder what this ‘bug’ is?
    One should be allowed to use any font with any block without this “attempt block recovery”.
