Why does clicking my URL address cause some bloggers to get the SSL error sign?

    Hello,
A blogger notified me of an SSL error message occurring after numerous attempts to visit my site.
I tested the URL address from my comment box and also got SSL error message. I am using a personal laptop and not a public wi-fi. I do clear out my cache and cookies on regular basis.
    My URL is: https://seraphim6.me

Also, from my Dashboard>My Blogs>Address, it still reads as seraphim6.wordpress.com. My current address is seraphim6.me since the domain upgrade. Does this cause the current problem to happen? And should I Change Blog Address or does it automatically come with an upgrade? Or is this normal and just leave alone.

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

In regards to your first question, when you go to https, you will indeed get an SSL error because you are attempting to load a secure version of your site. The front-end version of your site is not actually secured, and so therefore you get an SSL error.

If you’re getting directed to this URL from somewhere on your site, could you let me know, so I can check it out?

In regards to your second question, on the back end of your site (in your dashboard), it will always say seraphim6.wordpress.com, and that part WILL be secured by an SSL. This is how our dashboard works, however only you will see it. All visitors will only ever see the seraphim6.me domain, they won’t see the wordpress.com address!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you, Amightywp! I also got a tip from forum help to change my profile from https:// to http:// so I will try this and hopefully everything will resolve quickly.

Your quick response and information – much appreciated!! ☺ Thanks again.
