Why does emailing of post to subscribers take so long

  I email myself a copy of my posts to share with my email subscribers and 1) My email never comes and 2) When I manually email myself the post it can take up to two hours to appear.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  HI Keith,

  How are you emailing the copy of your posts? Are you just following your blog and waiting for the emails from us? Or are you copying/pasting your blog post link in your email provider and emailing it to yourself?

  I am waiting for the emails from wordpress, I am using the email icon at the bottom of the post, and my subscribers have not received their email either. (Yes, I have confirmed)

  Can you provide me their emails? I will check our email logs. Please note that their emails will be redacted from the public view, so only I will be able to see them.

  Hi Keith,

  The owners of the second and third email you provided me have turned off post email notifications for your blog, which is why they did not receive it. If they would like to receive email notifications for your posts, please have them log into their WordPress.com account and edit the Blogs I Follow section. From there, they can turn on email notifications for 100 Small Steps. Please note that you nor I can do this for them. They would have to do it themselves (unless one of those emails belongs to you of course).

  As for the first email you provided, that person has not signed up to follow your blog via email and does not have a WordPress.com account which is why that email is also not receiving any notifications. If you want that person to be an email follower, have them add and confirm their email on this section of your blog:

  All of the email addresses supplied belonged to me and my wife and none of us have turned off our notifications.

  I have checked both those accounts and the email notifications have been turned off for the blog 100 Simple Steps. If you would like them turned on, please log in via those emails and click on the edit button next to Blogs I Follow. Next to 100 Small Steps, click on edit and then select Instantly.
