Why does forum link at bottom of the dashboard take you to wordpress.org forums?

Why does the forum link at bottom of the dashboard take you to wordpress.org forums? It should take me to the .com forums since I am a .com user.

The Forum link at the bottom of your dashboard brings you here. The very bottom button on this page at the right hand side takes you to Automattic. There are also 3 links at the bottom of the wordpress.com forum for css customization, support and ideas. All of these take you to this page so I’m puzzled because I can’t figure out what you are referring to.

Sorry, my bad.
Here is how I got confused: I usually check the documentation first which takes me to .org. If I don’t find an answer I then click on “support” which takes me to a the .org forum. I think the problem is that the .org forum looks very similar to this one.
What might help would be to change the background or color scheme so users get a hint as to where they are. Maybe something like blue for .org pages and red for .com pages.

I just noticed that the sticky colors are different. Oh, well, it the individual discussion pages still look pretty similar.

The logos are too similar, especially with the “.com” greyed out as it is. I’m not the only person who has made this mistake. I am always coming across people with .com accounts posting in the .org forums. It ‘s an easy issue to correct and I’m sure it would eliminate a few unnecessary headaches for the moderators.

Then I would suggest sending in a Feedback letting staff know about your views.
Please remember though that folks also run red lights, especially here in Charlotte.
Please don’t tell me what would reduce headaches for me. I know exactly what would do so and header images that are already correctly labeled isn’t the solution. Folks with a higher ability to read than a first grader is.

Not offended. (Trust me. Different headers is a better idea than others I’ve heard abotu the issue) My issue is folks don’t use the resourses already provided to them to figure out their issues. We have a FAQ and when some folks are pointed to answers found within it, they complain because they weant their own answer. Some folks feel that they should be waited on them hand and foot and that’s not what the forums are here for.
