Why does google find my last name in my blog?!

  I’m trying to figure out why, when I google my full name, the first link is to my blog. I don’t have my last name mentioned anywhere in the blog and I can’t find it in my profile or anything like that. So why would the link come up so easily? It’s not a huge issue, I’m just trying to figure out why this happens.

  In every case this has happened, someone’s friend has linked to them.

  All you can do is google your full name and interrogate your friends :)

  The first time I found my name online I wondered the same thing and found out that it ended up coming from http://performancing.com , which I never remember joining.

  If you don’t mind me saying so, if you are not a geek, then any attempt to remain anonymous on the internet will not be successful. And, even if you are a geek and do take precautions to protect your identity there will be a “breadcrumb trail”.
