Why does it say [email redacted] under my gravatar in WordPress.com?

I have changed my email address everywhere possible – in WordPress.com and on the Gravatar site. When I’m logged into Gravatar, it says has the correct email at the top right. When I login to WordPress.com, under the email address, there is only one, the correct one. But under my Gravatar on the WordPress.com site, it is still showing and old address. And when I try to get an Akismet key, it logs me in to WordPress.com and shows the old email address up where it should say the new, correct one. I have spent literally hours trying to get this changed and I refuse to sign up for an Akismet account when I can’t even get something this simple accomplished through their network. Please tell me how to change it permanently so that I never ever see the old email (which is no longer valid anyway) again. Is the only way to do this completely deleting my account? And if so, could someone please tell me how to at least delete the Gravatar account. I can’t find it anywhere on the Gravatar site.

    Thank you.

    Hi Cyd,

I have looked into your account and was unable to find your previous email address shown here on WordPress.com or inside of Gravatar.

Could you upload a screenshot (by following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ )
to your Media > Library here on WordPress.com and I’ll take another look.

It also looks like your self-hosted WordPress site on Bluehost hasn’t been setup yet so I was unable to take a look there for the invalid Gravatar email being shown.

    Looking forward to your reply.
