Why does my account make it impossible to disable Instant Post Feedback?

After disabling Instant Feedback, logging out, clearing cookies, relaunching browser (Firefox 32.0 on Kubuntu 14.04 64bit LTS), and signing back in, Instant Feedback is re-enabled. I have seen Forum posts where WP staff has needed to check account settings on WP.com’s end, and I think that’s the case here — no matter what I try, the Instant Post Feedback is still there, congratulating me on my Nth post. I just want it turned off.
