Why does my auto save keep undoing changes I've made to pages?

  My auto save keeps changing things back after I’ve changed and saved them. At one point, I deleted one page where so many changes had reverted to the original version after I changed them, because it was easier to upload the new version from my computer. When I went to paste the new version in, I found the old version had returned, even though I’d taken care to hit the update button. This is a continual problem.
