Why does my background picture not show on the screen?

    I tried to load a BACKGROUND picture to my blog, and thought I had succeeded but it does not show on the screen. Though when I first log in the picture shows in a thin strip at the top of the screen for about a second then disappears.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    I took a look at your site and I see your background image there: https://cloudup.com/c6PARgVhGMC

    In the Twenty Fourteen theme your blog is using, the background image is most visible to the right side of your content, on very wide screens.

    You can make further customizations to your theme’s design using Custom CSS (part of your WordPress.com Premium plan), if you’d like. For example, you can use CSS like this to make your site’s background transparent instead of white:

    .site {
    background-color: transparent;
    }

    To add custom CSS like this, go to your My Sites page and click the Customize link under the blog’s title. In the Customizer, open the CSS section. In the CSS editor there, you can paste in CSS like the example above.

    If you’d like to try out more customizations like that, we have tips for getting started with CSS here:

    If you have CSS questions, most of our CSS support is done in the CSS Customization forum by expert staff and volunteers. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
