Why does my blog not come up in the WordPress search engine?

Hello all,
Sorry if this is really obvious but I’m not so good with technology. I’ve tried searching for my own blog in the WordPress search bar and it never comes up no matter how many specific terms I put in. It’s not just my account. My boyfriend tried searching for my blog through his account and he couldn’t find me either. Is there anything I can do? I’m worried that if I can’t even find myself, how are any potential followers going to find my blog?

The WordPress.com search engine indexes post, pages, and comments content (body text). Unless entered as text in those contents, blog name, post titles, and post/comment author names are not indexed. http://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpresscom-search/
The Tags search page is in the Reader area of the Dashboard.
http://wordpress.com/tags/For Topics (Tags page) searches see http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/ This is the syntax http://en/wordpress.com/tags/canada

I just did a WordPress search for your blog, using words from your latest post, “Selfie, oxford”, I did find you but first I had to click “Show the most recent” and you were on the second page. I would have linked to it, so you could see, but there were some “adult” sites listed, as well, with too much of the written description.
Your blog, like mine, is very specific in content. I think for as long as I’ve blogged at wordpress, I have only gotten a couple of referrers from this search engine. I get a lot more from Google and others, but yet I think I have gained only about 5-10 followers and maybe only a few more who have commented on my site.
