Why does my blog not publicize to the right location sometimes?
-
Lately, when I post my blog for The Swanx (theswanxhandpaintedclogs.wordpress.com), I have been having problems with the “Publicize” option. Some posts, it has posted to my personal Facebook page as if I was putting the author as AmyBuchheit (but it was always authored as theswanxhandpaintedclogs). Other times, like today, it hasn’t posted anywhere and it is an hour after the post went live.
This is for my job, and my bosses want this resolved quickly. Please help!

Does this help? Only Facebook Pages that have an associated Profile can be used with Publicize. Follow the Reconnecting Facebook steps above and connect to a Facebook Profile that has administrative rights to the Page.

Thank you timethief! I read that already but it doesn’t seem to fit the bill because sometimes it posts to the right place, sometimes it doesn’t. (It posted to the right place last time, but not this time or the time before). In addition, sometimes it posts on the wrong Facebook page. But I appreciate you trying to assist . . .

I flagged this thread for Staff attention so they will help you sort this. At the very least I do think you will have to remove the app and reconnect.

Publicize connections are account-specific, so when publishing a post, make sure that you are logged in as the user who connected Publicize to the right page.

Thank you Macmanx! I am aware of that, and this is the first thing I check when the publication isn’t happening properly. In all cases I am discussing, the post was published as theswanxhandcraftedclogs, not under my name.

Ok, would you please reply here as theswanxhandcraftedclogs so we can dig a bit further into this?
