Why does my blog seem to disappear, routing my edits to a defunct site?

A few weeks ago, I decided as an experiment to move one of my personal blog topic areas to a newly created blog at WordPress.com.

I exported the topic areas from my personal blog (self-hosted on Bluehost) and then imported the results to my newly created blog at WordPress.com. Everything went without a single hitch. I’ve been posting to it nearly daily for several weeks now.

Tonight, things have changed. Radically. I navigate to it (https://shaferonsports.wordpress.com) and click on the editing icon that appears in the toolbar. New post editor appears, but the editor wants to post to an old, deleted blog I set up years ago on the same WordPress.com account (which actually has four blogs on it at this point, none of which is active except for the new one). (The site in question is called After Further Review.)

I’ve confirmed that the posts I create on this page are in fact posted to the defunct site, which is further amazing because when I try to open that blog, I’m told it no longer exists.

My readers are getting restless and I’m completely lost here!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there. What is the URL of the blog to which your edits are posting? And can you perhaps provide the URL of a specific post that was published there?
