Why does my blog suddenly show my full name as author?

  My blog suddenly started displaying my full name even though I have not given it anywhere in my public or Gravatar profile. I am desperate to fix this because I do not want everyone to see it there. How can I do this? It used to display the name I wanted but just stopped. When I select an author under “edit posts”, it still displays the right one…

  @nonessa – I see you’ve marked this topic as resolved. I just came to the forums after noticing the same thing on my blog. Can you please tell me how you fixed it? Or did you set it to “resolved” by mistake? Thanks

  A moment later I realized my blog accidentally connected to my Google+ account and that was the reason. I disconnected it by going to Settings-> Sharing. I think the same can happen with the Facebook connect. Cheers. :)

  You connected to your Google Plus account is my guess.

  So, I can either have my Google Plus account linked or have my preferred username display but not both? Can I unlink the account and still use publicize to post to my G+ profile?

  If you link to Google plus then your actual name will be displayed.
  Make your choice. It’s one or the other.
